Water
Temperature: Not
much closer from last week, but still the it is a matter of about
an hour run to find the good water, both directions North and
South, inshore conditions have really change also, and inshore
fishing is great.
Weather
Temperature: Yes,
we don't see the low 90's much during day anymore, everything is
on the high 90's to the very low 100's, still during the evening
and night the weather cools a little bit off, coming down to the
high 80's. YES, WE KNOW IT IS HOT, BUT WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE
THE FISH BEING CAUGHT.
Fishing Spots and Distance:
Off-shore fishing.-
It was late in
the week, but FINALLY THEY HERE, AND THEY ARE A LOT AND WE
CAUGHT SOME TO THE 200's LBS. Yes the tuna has finally
arrived, very late this week, we caught some beautiful tuna,
the numbers may not show it, because I am only talking about
the last day, yes, but they are here, and we hope that they
are here to stay. Where? there were three big school
found, mostly south east, about 27 miles out. As you may
know, those who arrived first got the best of them.
Early in the week, very consistent bill fishing, and we
continue to score big on the good size dorados.
In-shore fishing.-
Mr. Vans Gold River California (Northern part
of the state), came down with beautiful 15-25 lbs reels, and
he and friend Mr. Arellano, have been having excellent days of
fishing with Victor Jr. Amberjacks, roosterfish, dorado, tuna,
medium size squids, you name it, they had it.
Successful
lures:
Good fishing, like the
old Baja fisherman said, they are all good.
Bait
Used: Mullet,
sardine, small jacks, most of the days with plenty, but we have
had days where the bait guys limit the resources so everyone get
some.
Highlight of
the Week: I
can talk about good marlin fishing, the good size of the dorados
being caught. But haven't all of we waited long enough to
hear this beautiful line. THEY ARE FINALLY HERE, YES, WE GOT
THE TUNA IN, AND IT SEEMS THEY ARE HERE TO STAY, SMALL, MEDIUM,
AND VERY BIG TUNA. For those who waited, they would be
awarded. With great airfare from most of the West cost main
cities, now it's the time to be down here. But with the conditions
we think they are here to stay a while.
Mr. Byal caught and
released 5 stripped marlin in on day. To this point it has been a
good day for each 2 not so great, well that right know has
changed, it is just a matter of being at the right place at the
right time. Heey!! this is fishing, not catching .
Hope to see you
next week!!!
