Water
Temperature: The
water temperature has not changed much this week with it just a
slight increase or decrease in some areas a degree or
two. Overall the water temperature is perfect!!
Weather
Temperature: The
Temperature has stayed on the warm side this week with temps.
reaching the mid 90's. We still have not seen any rain as of
yet but it will be appreciated when it dose finally show
up. We have seen fairly strong south winds this past
week in the afternoon making the temperature very pleasent.
Fishing Spots and Distance: This
week the distance and spots have stayed very close to what was
reported last week. The spots have varied from very close to
shore out to around thirty miles. The areas that have seen
the most action are the areas off the light house and slightly
North off the Punta Pescadero area.
Off-shore fishing.-
The
off shore fishing this week has been good. The numbers
above reflect only the boats going out of the hotel.
As you can see the hotel did not send out a tremendous
amount of boats this week. The boats that did go out
came back with lot's of happy anglers reporting great
catches. The off shore
fishing continues very strong for Tuna. The Tuna have been
scattered in both directions. The Tuna have bee running with
the Porpise as they have the past few weeks. They have been
in many different schools that have ranged from about seven miles
off the light house out as far as thirty five. The bill
fishing has taken place in both directions as well with the Marlin
being seen very close to shore (as close as half a mile off) to
around five miles out. Most of this activity has taken place
from in front of the light house as far south as Cabo Pulmo.
The Sailfish how ever have bee further to the North off the Punta
Pescadero region.
In-shore
fishing.-
The inshore fishing remains strong with nice catches being taken.
Successful
lures:
For the most part this week the lures have stayed fairly
constant with last weeks report.
The Lures for the Tuna
have been cedar plugs along with hoochies in the colors of white
and red or blue and pink and finally blue and white. The
jigs for the Marlin and Wahoo have been pertolero, pink and black
or black and green and white and blue.
Bait
Used: The bait this week has been for the most
part Sardina. This has been nice to see. We have also had
Mullett as bait as well. Both these baits are good for the Rooster
fish in the area.
Highlight of
the Week: Please
remember that up coming in August we have lots of events you
can be part of. These include the 3rd Annual Bisbee's
East Cape Tournament Also please remember
we have our special of pay three night's and get the fourth
free or pay five night's and get the sixth and seventh
free!! Call us for details. We would also like to mention that the new
flight from Ontario, CA has begun to see more Click
here!!!!
See you next week!
