Water
Temperature: Water
temperature has dropped this week as we have seen the first heavy North
winds of the season. The water for the most part is in
the high sixties with a few pockets being found that are at
the seventy mark.
Weather
Temperature: We have
seen the first strong North winds of the winter season. The temperature
during the day continues to be in the low eighties. The evening and night
time temperature are cooler with the wind from the North decreasing in the
evening but still being felt.
Fishing Spots and Distance:
The fishing spots and distance have remained for the most part this week fairly
close to shore. The boats have been traveling the
slightly turbulent seas headed north in the morning and
working their way home during the fishing day.
Off-shore fishing.-
Off
shore fishing has been difficult this week. The
captains have reported fair numbers of dorado that are close to
shore.
In-shore
fishing.-
In shore fishing this past week has been taking place to the
north in the Cerro Verde area. The captains have had
steady pargo action in the lee of the hills.
Successful
lures:
For artificial lures blue and white has been the color for the dorado
that have been caught this week. The sailfish were caught on the
colors of green and black.
Bait
Used: Bait conditions this week have been
moderate with some larger baits being available. The
smaller sardina have been available to the north in the Cardinal
area. A few of the captains have learned that their
may be small bait as well in the Cabo Pulmo area.
