Water Temperature:  This week the water temperature has risen sharply.  This is some of the warmest water we have seen all year.  The water is in the high eighties in most places and we have even seen a report in the nineties.  This should make for some great fishing!!!

Weather Temperature:  The weather this past week has been very nice.  We did see a day of rain on Wednesday of last week cooling things off nicely.  We have seen bright sunny skies since with mild humidity.  We do not expect to see any major change in the weather in the near future.  Most of the guest are reporting the weather out on the water has a slight breeze keeping them cool and the guests here in the hotel are calling the weather perfect.   

Fishing Spots and Distance:  The spots and distance the boats are traveling has been in the area of  just off the light house.  Some of the boats have been traveling straight east from the hotel out to about the twenty mile mark.  Both areas have been productive.

Off-shore fishing.-   The off shore fishing this week has seen lots of nice action with every thing being caught.  We have had some great tuna and bonita fishing out in front of the lighthouse.  We have seen some very nice dorado mixed in as well.  We have also seen some great tuna fishing heading east of the hotel around the twenty mile mark.  Look for the porpoise and you should find tuna.     

In-shore fishing.- The inshore fishing this week was slightly difficult with the rain water we had earlier in the week.  This should improve rapidly as the water clears near the arroyo's.       

Successful lures:  If you are looking for the tuna hoochies  should provide some action.  Try the colors of pink, white, and red.  For dorado try hoochies as well along with live bait.    

Bait Used: The story for the bait this week has bee MACKEREL!!   The area has had plenty of live fresh mackerel for sale.  It is nice to see they are back.  We also have plenty of sardines also for small bait.
