PHOTO GALLERY AND FISHING AND CONDITION REPORT   WEEK: SEPTEMBER 4th WEEK.

As most of you know we had a little weather disturbance in our area last week.  It's name was hurricane Marty.  We started to  see the first signs of the storm on Sunday morning the 21st with heavy rains that continued thru out the day and into the evening.  As the wee hours of Sunday turned into Monday Marty was upon us.  You would never have known their was a hurricane approaching by the photos below.  These pictures were provided to us by John Menisk taken just hours before the storm.  Looks as if the tuna did not know what was upon the horizon either.

This is John Beggan from Pittsburg Pa. with a very nice tuna This is Steve Manderino with an excellent tuna he caught on 20lb. test and placed third in the Penn International Tournament held here at the hotel just before the storm.
Here is another photo of a very happy angler in John's party
Here is the last photo John took as he was on his way to the airport Sunday afternoon.  Marty was coming.

Water Temperature:  Water temperature drop just a bit, but it sure bounced back to our normal summer temperatures.

Weather Temperature:  Before the storm the weather normally goes up, and this time, it wasn't the exception, with the rain and everything for the next two days, it cooled off, but it came back to the 90's once the storm has gone through.

Fishing Spots and Distance:  Even though it was a strong storm the water has gotten clear quite fast and Jesus Araiza reported blue water only 13 miles out of the hotel. This is a great sign that everything is going to come back to normal very fast, and it shows in our fishing numbers.

Off-shore fishing.-  Off shore fishing was great before the storm, and it was even better afterward, as soon as we started fishing on Wednesday boats were reporting lots of Sails strikes and Jesus found tuna about 20 miles south of the resort, from there the tuna bite has turn on quite well. Also Alejandro on the Hakuna said to lost a very good wahoo. Also a great sign  as October is normally the best month for wahoo.

In-shore fishing.- In shore water is still to turn up, but the conditions are great and it should start getting hotter by the minute. .

Successful lures:  Like the rancher turn fisherman, back in the old days, when the fishing is this good, anything works.

Bait Used: Bait conditions are limited as the pangueros are starting to get back in the ocean, but it was getting a lot better by the time of this report.

Highlight of the Week:  This week the report are that there are two things you are not going to be missing in the East Cape this coming days. TUNA AND SAILFISH. Also blue marlin should pick up as well as dorado, stay tune or grab a flight to visit us, this is a time when you want to be down here fishing.

Don't forget our Winter special: This is the time where you can escape from the world for a few days, may fish, may snorkel, but for sure rest your back off. Special is pay three nights and get the FOURTH NIGHT FREE or pay five nights and get the SIXTH AND SEVENTH NIGHT FREE!!!!  This is a great special contact us for details.
