Water
Temperature: The
water temperature has stayed fairly constant this week . We
have seen a slight warming of the water. The water will
continue to warm and bring the fish in. This should be an
excellent week of fishing!!
Weather
Temperature: We
have seen lots of sun this week with very little or no wind.
This has made for slightly warmer days and a little more
humidity. The mornings and evenings are very
comfortable with the great sunsets of Baja topping off
each day.
Fishing Spots and Distance: Most
of the fishing has been fairly close with the boats fishing from
inshore to about twenty miles out.
Off-shore fishing.-
The fishing off
shore has been very good for Tuna that are running with the
Porpise. Most of them have been in the smaller class from
the six to fifteen pound range. They have been very
aggressive taking almost anything that is put thru them.
The dorado and Marlin have slowed slightly this week with many
fish being seen but not wanting to take the bait. We have
seen a few more Wahoo than caught this week but with the
unexpected strikes those teeth are no match for monofilament.
In-shore fishing.-The
inshore fishing has been very good if you are bottom
fishing. The Snapper fishing has been excellent.
Fishing for Roosters has slowed slightly and the Sierra have
slowed slightly as well.
Successful
lures:
For the Dorado it has
been yellow and red along with white and blue to represent
flying fish. The Wahoo have been on lures that seem to be
purple and black. The Tuna are still taking hoochies in
the blue and white colors along with pink and red. We have
had lot's of small Langosta in the water.
Bait
Used: Bait
has been Mackrel with the Sardina just now starting to show up in any
numbers. The report is that most of the smaller bait is being caught
south in the Cabo Pulmo area.
Highlight of
the Week: Those Tuna!!!
See you
next week!!!
