PHOTO GALLERY AND FISHING AND CONDITION REPORT   WEEK: MARCH 2ND WEEK.
This week we had friends coming from Spain, and they really wanted to see what we are all about, since they were doing an article for GQ magazine (yes, the Spanish version) and Expansion. Angel Ortiz was a great tour guide, as he always is. Here they are in San Jorge, up from Santiago. If you haven't been there, right now it's beautiful, since we have had a lot of rain this year. Angel also took our friends to see the whales up to Magdalena Bay. We will see those pictures next week. Let us know if you want to sign up for one of our great Adventure Tours next time you're here. Marlin have been around throughout the winter, and here Alejandro is about to grab the leader to release it. As the weather continues to be warm up, so will the water. This is Togo Hazard landing the billfish. He, Terry Hauswirth and Bill. Frey were out yesterday. They also caught a few dorados.

 

We would like to inform you about some of the new flights that will be available for service for those of you looking to come and see us here at the resort.  Below is some information we would like to pass along to you.                                                        Please click on the airline you wish to visit below:

Aero Mexico will have four flights a week originating in Ontario.

Continental starting in December will have flights originating from Newark. They will also add more trips from their original city Houston.

Mexicana Will continue their excellent flight from L.A. (it goes back very late, therefore giving you a hole extra day).

Delta starting December 13th will have seven flights a week from Atlanta.

Frontier starting November 22nd will have four flights a week from Denver.

Water Temperature:   The water temperature has been rising steadily since the wind has left us, at least for now! The sea is like glass and beautiful.

Weather Temperature:  It was windy over the weekend, but by Monday the weather had changed completely, and has held throughout the rest of the week. It could not have been more perfect with balmy, warm days, no wind and lovely evenings. Spring has arrived!

Fishing Spots and Distance:  The fishing spots and distance were mostly concentrated to the north of the hotel at the beginning of the week. As soon as wind departed, our boats have been venturing into new waters, particularly to the south near the lighthouse. 

Off-shore Fishing:  The off-shore fishing was mainly for dorado and striped marlin. As the water temperature continues to rise, the fishing will improve dramatically.  

In-shore Fishing: The inshore fishing has been productive in the mornings for sierra.  All along the coast they've been prolific. 

Successful Lures:  For artificial lures the colors seem to be different every day.  

Bait Used:  Bait pangas have been out every day, and as more boats are out fishing, they are getting better bait. .

Highlight of the Week: FOUR CONSECUTIVE DAYS WITHOUT WIND! THIS IS MAJOR AND WE ARE MOVING INTO PRIME FISHING SEASON!
