Water Temperature:   The water temperature has been rising steadily since the wind has left us, at least for now! The sea is like glass and beautiful.

Weather Temperature:  Spring has arrived early this year and the weather is spectacular. The wind has gone, and every day has been hot with only light breezes in the afternoons. It promises to be a record fishing year.

Fishing Spots and Distance:  The fishing spots and distance were mostly concentrated to the south of the hotel near the lighthouse. 

Off-shore Fishing:  The off-shore fishing was mainly for dorado and striped marlin. As the water temperature continues to rise, the fishing will improve dramatically.  

In-shore Fishing: The inshore fishing has been productive in the mornings for sierra.  All along the coast they've been prolific. 

Successful Lures:  For artificial lures, the colors seem to be different every day.  

Bait Used:  Bait pangas have been out every day, and as more boats are out fishing, they are getting better bait. .

Highlight of the Week:  Angel Ortiz took a group of journalists from Spain to Magdalena Bay to visit whales. Check out the photos in this week's photo gallery.
