PHOTO GALLERY AND FISHING AND CONDITION REPORT   WEEK: NOVEMBER 1ST WEEK.
Jonathan Morrison, Doublas Kunnel & Robbie Robinson with a nice wahoo, plus 4 dorados, 2 tunas, a pargo and few bonitas. They fished with Marcos on the Liliana. Brothers Gilberto and Ciro Gonzalez and friend Rodolfo Manriquez visiting us from the state of Tamaulipas (Northeast of our country, borders with USA by South Texas' Brownsville area) Here with a sail, 2 nice dorados and 3 tunas. Fished with Jose on the Vagabundo.
Mr. Less Christensen which his best day yet, 3 stripers (all released), 2 dorados, 2 tunas and 5 bonitas. This is fishing by himself with captain Ramon and deckhand Teodoro. Our great friends the Sell family, from Denver, CO. It so nice to see them again. They fished with their long time friend and captain Felipe on the Yanet. Very good day. 4 dorados and 6 tunas.
Mr. Folk and friends Lane Brook and Larry Robinson fished with Victor on the Vamonos and caught 6 dorados, 4 snappers and 6 skip jacks. It is not only about the fishing

Water Temperature:  With the wind starting this past week, water temperature has slowly but surely starting to drop, we still have an excellent fishing temperature, and there is plenty of fish.        

 

Air Temperature:  Very nice during last weekend, but the wind started on the evening of Monday and continue on until Thursday, some of our guests decided to stay in shore. It is the first set of wind in the area, and it was short.  

 

Fishing Spots and Distance: Fishing grounds where mostly close, from Los Frailes to in front of the resort. Chayo with Mr. Christensen venture further South almost to Gordo Bank, and even though it was good fishing there a few days back, they didn't have much luck. Juan on the Mosca in the other hand, have been fishing in the pescaderos in front of La Rivera and Cabo Pulmo with a lot of luck on tuna, dorado and big pargo. Sometimes distance is not all.

 

Off-shore Fishing: Small tuna, big pargo and some doorad most of the weekend, Monday through Thursday it was a lot less fishing going on with our fleet. 

 

In-shore Fishing: There were some fly fishermen going on this week and they were all happy faces when they came back to our dock. They say jacks, bonitos among other species made their day.     

 

Successful Lures:  Mostly live bait used this week, the billfish being caught are attracted with the regular colors.  

 

Bait Used: Some problems with bait this week, but everyone found some, sometimes closer than other. But still it continues to be the best way to fish.

 

Highlight of the Week:  I was out this week with our long time friends, Buss and Mary, and we had a great time as Victor raise some nice tuna, but what the highlight of our trip were the nice 15-20 lbs red pargo that they caught (I didn't catch one, but believe me I did catch other things).  They were so nice that they were prepare to be taking to the East Coast for a special family dinner.
