Water Temperature:
Water remained same as last week in the low to mid 80's,
very, very good water.
Air
Temperature:
Temperatures in the mid to high 90's, but most every day we have had a nice
breeze that has cooled the day.
Fishing Spots and Distance: Distance
changed, tuna was closer and the marlin was further. Still in
reach of our fleet.
Off-shore Fishing:
Marlin fishing couldn't be better this past week, even though it was about 1 and
45 minute ride down to Las Destiladeras (40-45 miles Southeast), those that took
the ride didn't regret it. Many boats from Cabo as well. Vicente described the
action as one of the best marlin fishing weeks in more than 10 years. And
it was not a big area either, as all the boats where in a small area of about 10
mile range, and it was not only one boat after when a bait ball broke the
surface, there were plenty and most were being hooked. Tuna this past week was
excellent early in the week was further but it became closer as they came closer
to shore, great number and you can start seeing bigger fish. Dorado was caught
in the bouyies, our captains reported that you can start catching more of the
school dorado, still we were able to catch some up to 55 lbs.
In-shore Fishing:
Week in - week out inshore fishing continues to be the
most consistent fishing of all. Great roosterfish, jacks, lady fish, and not
that many people went for bottom fish and we still had great numbers on pargo.
Successful Lures:
All colors woked when you have this great
fishing.
Bait Used:
Caballito and sardine, but
Arturo reported that when our guest are going for marlin the best continues to
be ballyhood
Highlight of the Week: The question is what is not a
highlight this week. EVERYTHING IS GOING ON!!! Definitely
one of the best weeks in a long time. Check out Vicente on
the new Dust B III with 10 marlin flags, and they are not
there just to joke, he while fishing with Mr. Hazard and
friends got 26 marlin in 4 days of fishing, not bad, don't
you think??? Mr. Hazard has been with us for over 24 years
and he travels to fish on his boat once a month for the past
4 years. He said that this is being one of the best fishing
he has ever seen down here.
And it can
only get better, don't wait to long to make your
reservation, this is when you need to be down here.
See you next week!
