Water Temperature:
Little by little the water has starting to go up, still we have not yet get to
the 80's, it is still normal and with great fishing, I continue asking, who
cares?
Air
Temperature: It still very nice, but we can tell that summer is coming
as the temperature is raising.
Fishing Spots and Distance: Even
though fishing spots didn't change much compare to last week, some
boats venture North and found good catches, but most of the
fishing continue to be from East from the our hotel to Cabo Pulmo,
concentrating in from La Rivera to Punta Arena.
Off-shore Fishing: Stripers,
stripers, stripers, and a lot of them. Dorado were more difficult to find this
week, and tuna was not found. Wahoo some strikes and a small one caught. We did
catch three hammerheads and 2 blue sharks, one of the hammerheads about 150 lbs,
a big one.
In-shore Fishing:
In shore has continue to offer the best quality and
quantity with the best consistency. Good size roosterfish, amberjacks,
jackravelles and a lot of snapper. You can fish in front of the hotel all the
way to La Rivera, but up North by el Cardonal is also good for good size
roosters.
Successful Lures:
Mean-Joe-Green out-performed the
petreloero, still our captains are using all the Baja colors.
Bait Used: Bait guys
continue to have a bit of problems getting good quality bait. Still our boats
continue to have plenty of bait as we are now have ballyhood available for sale.
It is a good option to have don't you think?
Highlight of the Week:
Striped marlin continues to
dominate our scenery, even thought the 150 lbs hammerhead is
something we don't every day, specially this size.
United Airline
informed that they will start several new flights from
Denver and San Francisco. Also the flights from Oakland,
CA are being offered by a charter company called Suspot,
it is also a great option.
See you next week!
