Water Temperature:
Raising, but very slowly. Once again, who cares if it goes up
or not, as long as we have the fishing we have now.
Air
Temperature:
Eating outside is so nice that nobody wants to leave and
during the day is so nice that you want to stay out take a sun bath or fishing.
Fishing Spots and Distance: When
tuna comes the way it did, you can go very far or you can find a
small school close by. Marlin mostly South by the light house.
Dorado about the same as the marlin.
Off-shore Fishing:
Once again it went crazy this past week for tuna, up to 60 lbs, but mostly in
the 15 to 30 lbs range. Marlin not as hot but very consistent. Dorado is
everywhere and nowhere it all depends on your luck.
In-shore Fishing:
Mr. Simms from Southern California has been fishing the past
few days only for bottom species and he has had a bowl while fishing with Juan
Diego. He has caught plenty of cabrilla, pargo, pampano, amberjack, jackravelle,
roosterfish etc.
Successful Lures:
Same
colors as last week, but captains mentioned that the fly-fishing color is
starting to work as well as they have seen a lots of it.
Bait Used:
Even with more than 25 boats going out during the week, bait
has not been a problem at all with good quality too.
Highlight of the Week: When we have a run of
tuna like the one this week, it has to be in the highlights,
but the in-shore fishing has been so consistent that it will
be a waist if you come and don't bring a 10 to 15 lbs out
fit to fish inshore, if you don't believe me check my
brothers picture, he is being doing this all week.
See you next week!
