Air
Temperature:
This week was actually a
little less warm than last week, a nice breeze helped a lot.
Fishing Spots and Distance: You
have to decision this week, either to go up North by Punta
Pescadero about 15 miles, or go right in front of La Rivera,
about 10 miles.
Off-shore Fishing:
Fishing this
week concentrated in two areas, in front of La Rivera to fish
for tuna, amberjack, jack cravelle, pargo and o yes, 2
yellowtail. Or go up north to fish for billfish and the very few
dorado available.
In-shore Fishing:
There
weren't that many guest fishing inshore for rooster this past week, but Arturo
reported that those boats that did tried did well.
Bait Used: Mackerel
was most of the bait used last week, but finally there was some sardine
available, the problem is that you have to make the run all the way to Frailes
to get it, and then come back to fish in La Rivera pescaderos (fish grounds).
Highlight of the Week: Very steady fishing
for almost everything, right in front of La Rivera, great
bill fishing as well, but the amazing thing this past week
was the YELLOWTAIL caught right in the middle of summer, as
my brother Esaul says when asked what is the best time to
fish in our area?. "it is when you are down here"
See you next
week!!!
