Water Temperature:
It is getting up there, but we can still feel the winter water temperature.
Air
Temperature: Very nice, even when it blew it was nice to go out
fishing, and with the fishing that we had this past week, it was obvious that we
were out almost every day.
Fishing Spots and Distance: Close,
close very close, in front of La Rivera, in front of Punt
Pescadero, you name it, it is very close.
Off-shore Fishing:
A first good
run of striped marlin this past week, it was a good one to be the first. Some
dorado also around but not as much as the past week, when they found the death
whale.
In-shore Fishing:
Sierra continues to
dominate the action, but we continue to see more and more roosters, which is
great, also the un-sophisticated jack cravelle is around. Overall fishing
inshore is back to normal.
Successful Lures:
Petrolero and bleeding mackarel are producing the most action this past
week, with many stripers going for them.
Bait Used: Mackerel
which is only the best for stripers.
Highlight of the Week: 17
stripers within 3 boats in a day, is not bad for what is
suppose to be the off-season, don't you think?
See you next
week!!!
