FISHING AND CONDITION REPORT

WEEK: June 2nd week
 
Dennis Hammer and friends on their annual fishing trip to Baja, here with nice dorados, but they also caught nice tuna and several stripers on the three days of fishing.
Mr. Hernandez and Brenda, his Daughter celebrating her 15 year old birthday. Brenda choose to come to fish to our resort as her birthday present. They originally from the state of Sinaloa, but they are living overseas in China. Our friends from Culiacan were here this past week to fish for a few days, they did very well, here with some bulls dorados they caught.
Our long time friend Mr. Dave Cooper from Colorado. He caught this nice african pampano while fishing with Juan on the Mosca Mike and  Sally Gerhard from Eagle, ID fished with Rosario on the Nueva Era caught this nice tuna.
Peggy and Robert Ross from Portland, OR with a nice day out with Victor on the Mosca I caught 4 dorados and 4 tunas. Lary Olson from Carmichael, Jim Tiltion de Loomis and Gregg Hall from Auburn, all from California fished with Alejandro on the Dusty BIII and caught 10 dorados and 3 tunas, for a great day.

Water Temperature: Beautiful water, until the end when a strong current droped it down a little, but it didn't last and it should get back to the mid 80's really fast.

 

Air Temperature: This week we reached the high 90's, well it is the middle of June it is about time. Still during the day it still very nice with plenty of breeze to cool the day.   

 

Fishing Spots and Distance: It was between 25 to 35 miles where most fish was caught, some boats venturing further with mix results. Cabo Pulmo (outside the park) bite was quite steady throughout the whole week.

 

Off-shore Fishing: Very good size dorados captured this past week. Tuna, small hey, but it still tuna. And 2 blues were caught and release this weekend, a very mix bag off shore fishing.     

 

In-shore Fishing: It did slow down a little compare to week past, but to say this of the in-shore fishery should not worry us to much as the fish is there, it just didn't bite as consistent as it was in weeks past.

 

Bait Used: Sardine, caballitos and always good to bring some ballyhoo, no problem here.
