Water Temperature: Not much change this week, and with the strong wind Tuesday didn't help. We are hoping that this cold storm from the North was the last one of the season, it is late to have this wind.

 

Air Temperature: Last weekend was beautiful until Monday night, when we started to see wind in the horizon. It blew part of Monday and all day Tuesday, calmed down on Wednesday, it has been calm since then. Temperature wise it cool down a little specially during our nights, but it was nice in the middle 80's during the day.

 

Fishing Spots and Distance: Our fishing grounds continue to be quite close, La Rivera fisheries, up North to Punta Pescadero and El Cardonal. We are sure the effects of the mid week winds will have effects, but later on.     

 

Off-shore Fishing: Best marlin run of the year, with boats with multiple hook ups. Then the wind came, even though we send some boats out, an caught some stripers. Dorado is everywhere and nowhere. Tuna was almost non-existent this past week.

 

In-shore Fishing: Reports of a lot of Jacks from our fishing friends from Baja on the fly, but our fleet has not come in to check that out.

 

Bait Used: Mackerel, and you have to go up North for sardine.

 

Highlight of the Week: Spring Stripers run, it is beautiful when it happen, but more beautiful when you experience it.
