***Fishing numbers do not reflect Bisbee
tournament catches.
Water
Temperature: Everything
came to place, and quite nicely as we had wonderful sea
conditions, with nice warm water all over our beautiful
ocean.
Air Temperature: It is
right in the middle of the Summer, but it might have
been the excitement in the air, as we felt the week to
be quite nice, even on the award dinner, it was a nice
not too warm evening.
Fishing Spots and Distance: Big
money tournament week, many boats many directions, all
over our bay.
Off-shore Fishing:
There were 124 released billfish on
the first day with 64 for boats, I leave to you the
percentile catch we had.
In-shore
Fishing: It was also very rewarding for those
not fishing in the tournament as it is an strategic week to come down and do
some fly fishing as most of the fleet was looking for the big blue, other guests
were fishing almost by themselves for roosters and other small species, with
great success.
Bait Used: Mostly caballito some mackerel
too, but captains are preferring the ballyhoo and
sardine for the smaller fish.
Highlight of the
Week: Quite a year for the Bisbee tournament.
Please read more in our memory album.
See you next week!!!
