***Fishing numbers do not reflect Bisbee
tournament catches.
Water Temperature: Underground
currents has been the reason, of a unstable waters
keeping the warm water all over our beautiful Sea of
Cortez.
Air Temperature: It has
been a great warm week, it has been raining in the
mountain giving us a cool breeze during nights.
Fishing Spots and Distance: Boats
everywhere in the Sea of Cortez, as far as 40 miles south.
Off-shore Fishing: Looking for billfish
everywhere, but dorado and tuna has been giving fight
early in the morning.
In-shore Fishing: Right for
inshore in front the hotel, has been roosterfish, triggerfish, needlefish action
early in the mornings and after fishing full day in a boat.
Bait Used: Mostly caballito and mackerel but captains are preferring
to fish skip jack tuna with sardines early in the
mornings, to get either any of the billfish.
Highlight of the Week: A lot of money in
the Bisbee's tournament the past week, ending with a
fireworks during the award dinner. Congratulations to
John Martin of Wildcatter team with a 360lbs blue
marlin!
See you next week!!!
