FISHING AND CONDITION REPORT

WEEK: July 2nd week
 

Ready for a picture after a good of fishing aboard Yanet were Janis & Tim Sherer from Lakewood Ranch Florida with Captain Felipe Ruiz and his Mate Reggie and with our good friend Nancy Rayner from Long Beach, California.
 

Spillman family  from Austin, Texas caught 22 tunas around 35 miles south of the resort, close to Los Frailes area, all of them  in one day aboard 3 Hermanos with Captain Ramon Tamayo and Mate Teodoro Araiza.
 
 
 
I just wanted to send you some of the pictures we took last week fishing at Spa. We had a wonderful time as usual and really did not want to come home. Our fish count for the week was: 6 marlin, 3 dorado and 8 tuna. We fished with Juan and Gabriel on the Alegria and those guys are the BEST! Water Temperature: Ocean temperature is offering a little of everything, as we have some areas with cold currents, but plenty of hot water areas.

 

Air Temperature: Nice ocean breeze every day to keep the temperature from rising, but still we have some humidity, but a great week weather.

 

Fishing Spots and Distance: Distance ranging from 15-35 miles either North, South or East, just decide.

 

Off-shore Fishing: Blues are coming, and stripers are everywhere in the Sea of Cortez. Mostly football size tuna but some of them around 20-30 lbs.

 

In-shore Fishing: Good roosters action just be patience to have fun.

 

Bait Used: Not a problem this week to get sardine and caballitos, also is good to bring some ballyhoo.

 

Highlight of the Week: Good billfish action and 100% released.
