FISHING AND CONDITION REPORT

WEEK: May 3rd week
 

Pedro Lecea from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon invited some friends for a weekend full of fishing, fun and relax. They were Jorge and Marcos Gallegos, Carlos Fernandez, Hector Gamez, Francisco and Enrique Martinez, Hernan Lopez and Mario Garza.

Enrique Martinez caught 124.5 lbs Striped Marlin in Dusty BII with Jesus Cota and Sadoc Agundez. They found a school of stripers in Punta Colorada.

 

Fishing in Liliana with Marcos and Marcos, Pedro Lecea caught 125.5 lbs Striped Marlin right outside of the lighthouse.
 
Pat & Vitto Galasso from Sylmar California, caught on the 3 Hermanos this beautiful dorados of 50 lbs in Los Frailes area.       Fishing with Felipe Ruiz on the Yanet, Casey & Ron Helget from Dixon, California caught 2 dorados around 13 miles south, before Cabo Pulmo.

 

Enjoying an after dinner talk Nancy Rayner, Sally & Traci Wolbert  from Long Beach, CA and Philadelphia, PA had a relaxing trip, fishing a couple days with Felipe Ruiz on the Yanet. We still missed "Papa Loco", see you again in November.

Last week our good friends, Nancy, Jason & Stephenie Hummel had a great stay in the resort, it was the first one, without fishing with Jesus Araiza on the Eclipse instead they truly enjoyed fishing on the  Alegria with Juan and Gabriel and our retired captain Araiza.

Water Temperature: Summer is coming, water temperature is stable in the high 70's, take a dip in the Sea of Cortez to feel it.

 

Air Temperature: Its the perfect time of year, beautiful days for fishing or just to chill' out in the swim up bar with a margarita.

 

Fishing Spots and Distance: Most of our fleet found dorado and marlin action around an hour south going South going to Cabo Pulmo.

 

Off-shore Fishing: Stripers, sails, and dorado continue to dominate the action.

 

In-shore Fishing: Good week for rooster and cabrilla fishing.

 

Bait Used: Mullet, mackerel and ballyhoo but sardine has been absent in the area, pangueros are bringing some from Punta Perico, you have to meet them half way in Punta Pescadero.

 

Highlight of the Week: Night fishing with Juan Garcia and Gabriel Gonzalez on the Alegria, they caught bonitas, snappers, cabrillas, needlefish, triggerfish, amberjack, pampano everything from in shore in Punta Pescadero. It's a different way to fish try to have this experience in your next trip.
