FISHING AND CONDITION REPORT

WEEK: May 4th week
 

Chris Abell, Rod Shoemaker and David Rentufure from San Francisco California fishing in Punta Arena with Chayo in Nueva Era, caught this beautiful 40 lbs dorado.

 

Manuel Martinez and Ed Bustamante with their sons caught 2 Dorados, 1 African Pampano and released 2 Striped Marlin in Cabo Pulmo area  were aboard Liliana Capitan Marcos Yepiz found the right spot for fishing.
 

From Oregon Bill Brennan, Randy Rohner and Roger Kirschner shared with us some pictures of their last trip to the resort from May 4th-8th fishing 2 days in Dottie BII with Vicente Cosio and Marco Garcia, they landed 5 sailfish and 3 dorados.

Water Temperature:The water temperature dropped for a couple days this week making the fishing a little tough, after that good days of fishing were back.

 

Air Temperature: We had a little wind for a couple days during the afternoon but nothing to worry about, it has been pleasant and manageable for fishing.

 

Fishing Spots and Distance: Most of the fishing has taken place South, starting in La Rivera and off the light house, but some of our fleet are going to Cabo Pulmo.

 

Off-shore Fishing: Marlin and dorado continue to hit quite strongly.

 

In-shore Fishing:  It was a slow start, but when it got started it really when off, great inshore fishing.

 

Bait Used: Mullet, ballyhoos, and sardine is back.

 

Highlight of the Week: Excellent week for roosterfish.
