Water
Temperature: Water
started to come back to normal, as Ivo stir it up a
little, mostly inshore.
Air Temperature: Early in
the week there were a lot of clouds, and we got ready
for Ivo, but once it dissipated, everything came back to
normal, and we even had 2 days with breeze from the
North.
Fishing Spots and Distance: If
you have seen me in the shows talking about why
September is the month that we locals like the most,
it's because the fishing is so close and so good. We are
fishing 5 to 10 miles out, you can definitely go a
little further if you would like, but there is no point
on it.
Off-shore Fishing: It was one of the
best weeks of the year, plenty of dorado, tuna, pargo,
bill fish. So much for the million hooks in the Sea of
Cortes due to the Norm029. We have not seen anybody
coming to fish our waters, since June 27th.
In-shore
Fishing: With Ivo in the neighborhood this week
and Harriette leftovers, inshore fishery has not been
the best, but the quantity and quality is improving
everyday.
Bait Used: Sardine and dead ballyhood,
some caballito available.
Highlight of the
Week: The amount of dorado and tuna, you can
literally fish until your arms get tired. This week we
didn't fish the three out of the 7 days of the week and
we still got great numbers.
See you next week!!!
