FISHING AND CONDITION REPORT

WEEK: April 1st week

CJ Collins and Ron Edwards from Sacramento, CA came back with this beautiful 90 lb Wahoo and 9 Dorado, its that a good day or what? Felipe and Reggie on the Yanet made the day worth it for them.

I don't know which one is the best catch of this week, this two Thresher Sharks or the Wahoo above, but let me tell you our good friend Don Brown from Gridley, CA and Esaul Valdez plus Vicente and Nestor, Captain and Mate of Dottie BII, land them after a 2 hour fight each of them, and taking turns. Just amazing.
Dave Copeland, John Hausner and Bob Orth from Houston, TX, Burlington, VT and Bermont, CA respectively, got an amazing fishing day on the Dottie BII with Vicente and Nestor, landing 14 Dorado and releasing 1 Striped Marlin.

CJ Collins and Gary Dabelger  again on the Yanet with Felipe and Reggie brought back this 2 Dorados Scott Macrury, Ron Edwards, and Ryan Suarez, from Sacramento and Seattle, went out with Ramon and Teodoro on the 3 Hermanos and had the most fish landed of the week: 2 Striped Marlin and 13 Dorado.

Mrs Fuch and her Husband Jess Fuch from Cedar Grove, NJ fished for three days with Alex on the Mosca I, and catch a total of 14 Dorado The Gunther Family from Manitoba, Canada: went out with Carlos and Vicente on the Careleste and brought back a Striped Marlin and 2 Dorado.

Water Temperature: We've been between 70 and 75 F the whole week, great temperature all around, helping a lot to big schools of Dorado.

Air Temperature: Temperature continues on the Mid-70s during the day; and Mid-60s at night.  There was no wind at all this week, just a little breeze in the afternoons, but the best weather ever, some nights even cold for our guest.

Fishing Spots and Distance: Fishing remains on the same areas, around 15 to 25 miles straight east from us. Lots of Dorados all around. And the most amazing thing this week was about 2 miles north of us, there's a small fishing spot with tons of Thresher Sharks, let me tell you, those sharks know how to fight.

Off-shore Fishing: This week we were packed of Dorado, very good size all of them, all around 20 and 30 lb range. Striped Marlin in decent numbers and very good size. And this was the Shark week, with amazing catches like the one we show at the Weekly album

IIn-shore Fishing: We haven't seen any big Rooster yet, but there are some small ones caught south by La Ribera. Monster Jacks have been spotted at the Hotel pier.

Bait Used: Mackerel is all we've been having the whole week, great for the dorados.

Highlight of the Week:

Our very good friend Don Brown brought in a 100 lb Thresher Shark. And CJ Collins catching a 90lb Wahoo on the Yanet with Felipe and Reggie

See you next week!!

Saludos from your second home in paradise!

Felipe Valdez
