Water Temperature: Warmer water temps are here finally, and this week it went up to 75 F degrees with and average of 73 F. This helped to bring tons of bait in to the area.

Air Temperature: This week was one of the best of the year, not to hot not cold at all. Daytime temperature was around 78 F. 72 F in the evenings. No wind at all the whole week making  for very pleasant fishing conditions.

Fishing Spots and Distance: I don't want to say the same things every week believe me, but good fishing remains very close to the Hotel. Our boats were catching fish starting at 4 miles up to no more then 10 miles offshore.

Off-shore Fishing: Dorado came back strong again. Attacking Sardina and mackarel baits. Striped Marlin were not to hungry this week. But we are seeing a lot of them all around.

In-shore Fishing: The rooster fishing exploded this week. We are catching them from our Hotel all the way down to the Lighthouse. They are running 5 to 30lb's. We've had success with a variety of lures, and live bait. The Fly fishing guys were catching as many as 5 per person from the beach. Jack Crevalle to 20lb's were also caught.

Bait Used: Sardinas (flat iron herring) are here! Thanks to the warmer water that came in,  they have been available the whole week. Mackarel and frozen Ballyhoo were the options available for larger offshore baits and as usual they yielded great results.

Highlight of the Week:

The Okuma Sales Team were here and they land a total of 48 Dorado and 40 Roosterfish

See you next week!!!

Saludos from your second home in paradise!
