Water
Temperature: Water got warmer this last
week, giving big schools of tuna everywhere. Also Blue
Marlin showes up strong with this conditions. Some
sailfish also liked the warm water.
Air Temperature: Now the summer is
here, and its getting hot down here! But for all the
Baja lovers, you now that means lots and lots of fish!
We´ve been having days around 102 or 104, but with very
enjoyable breeze from the ocean.
Fishing Spots and Distance: With
all the conditions combine, water temperature and air
temperature, the fish have showed up everywhere, and not
far at all. We are fishing around 20 miles away from the
Hotel, Lighthouse area close to shore or 5 miles out of
Punta Pescadero, so basically everyspot is a fishing
spot right now.
Off-shore Fishing: Tuna action
remains on its year best. Giving numbers of 8 to 12 per
boat. Dorado stays constant out there, most of them are
Trophy fish, rounding the 40 to 50 lb range. Billfish
action picked up, Blue Marlin showed up this week, there
many strikes and most of them over 300 lb.
In-shore Fishing: Roosterfishing
action remains constant. Lots of them on La Ribera area.
Jack Crevalle around 40 lb range on the El Cardonal
area.
Bait Used: Caballito, Mullet and
Sardines is everything we have right now, we had a
decrease on Mackarel, but the Ballyhoo is working great
for Big Bull Dorado.
Highlight of the
Week:
Sr.Togo Hazard caught a nice 45lb tuna
plus a 50 lb Dorado.
See you next week!!!
Saludos From your second
home in paradise!
