EL NAVEGANTE RESTAURANT & EL PESCADOR BAR
You’ll never go hungry at Hotel Buena Vista. Our food is world-class
and plentiful. While the majority of guests choose the American
Plan—which includes three meals a day—we also offer
a pay-as-you-go meal plan (European Plan). If you choose the popular American Plan,
you will be able to order off the menu at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You will also have the option of ordering a picnic lunch at no extra
cost for your fishing trips and other tours.

|
Meals are served either in the lovely El Navegante
Dining Room or outdoors, on our oceanfront terrace. Snacks, such
as our famous Nachos, can be ordered poolside. These are not included
on the American Plan, however.

Breakfast
is served from 6:15 to 11 a.m. If you are going out in an
early tour such as fishing and diving, it is very likely
that you will have a buffet style breakfast, but if you are
sleeping in, do not worry as you will choose from our
extensive menu of our famous breakfasts.
Lunch is served from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
You have two option if you went out in a tour, you can
come in early and have a nice warm lunch in our terrace
when you come back; your other option would be to take a
box lunch for your tour. |
|
Dinner is served from 7 to 9 p.m.
We normally serve "a la carte", but if you are during the
full throttle of our season, it is very likely that we will
have a buffet style dinner, with a different menu every
night. Weekend is typical to have our famous "Taco Night",
"Mexican Buffet Night" among other. |
|
 |
Many of El Navegante recipes are a tradition, as they were
part of the many recipes of "Doña
Rafaela Valdez", mother of "Chuy".
If you went out fishing, our best recommendation is to
send your fresh catch to our kitchen, we assure you that
you will be delighted on the different style we will
bring your fish to the table. Try our famous ceviche or
sashimi to get things started, then to have your fish
cook in three different and delicious ways.
Don’t
be surprised if hotel owner, Jesus “Chuy” Valdez
or his sons, Esaul, Axel or Felipe hotel’s managers stop by your
table for a visit at dinner some night. Their hands-on approach
and interest in every guest will remind you once again that
this is not an ordinary hotel! |
|
Before
or after dinner, meet old and new friends in the El
Pescador Bar, adjacent to the restaurant. Keep
up with the outside world by watching our big-screen TV.
Check your email on one of our computers. Play a game or
two of ping pong, or just hang out and sip your drink as
the moon comes up over the Sea of Cortez. |

The
social hub of Buena Vista Beach Resort is the swim-up bar
under the giant palapa at the pool. The beautiful
fresh-water pool is the perfect place to unwind after a hard
day of fishing or touring. It’s also a great place to spend
an afternoon under an umbrella reading a book. Beach towels
are available daily.
Hungry?
Order up a plate of Nachos or a hamburger. When the boats
come back from fishing and all sorts of people descend on
the pool, you can be sure that someone will start up a wild
game of water volleyball. Join in. What more could you ask? |
