Located
on the edge of the sparkling blue Sea of Cortez, 35 miles
north of Los Cabos and 70 miles southeast of La Paz, Hotel Buena
Vista Beach Resort is one of the world’s premier sport fishing
destinations. The Sea of Cortez is the Earth’s richest ocean
and you can expect to catch blue, black and striped marlin, enormous
wahoo, tuna, yellowtail, sailfish, roosterfish and dorado. However,
we are much more than just a fisherman’s paradise.

Here
you can also enjoy scuba diving and snorkeling, eco- and adventure
tours, tours to nearby cities and resorts, golf tours, and such
activities as swimming, tennis, horseback riding, kayaking, jet
ski and ATV riding, and hiking.

Guests
don’t just come here once. They return again and again, year
after year. The swim-up bar is the site of many a reunion, as people
run into friends from previous trips.
Once you arrive, you will be met at the airport by one of
our three Tres Hermanos vans—large enough to accommodate a
party of six and all your luggage. Just let us know what
your needs are when you make your reservations and we’ll
take care of them!
After you check in, head down the path toward the beach,
through a jungle of coconut palms, tangles of magenta
bougainvillea and yellow hibiscus. |
|
The air will be soft and warm. The light will ripple and
dance across the surface of the water. You’ll see orange
lichen creeping across the roofs of our 60 Mediterranean
bungalows, hear the tinkling of fountains and inhale the
delicate aroma of plumeria blossoms.
You’ll never for a moment doubt that you’re in the tropics
here! Ours is no high-rise hotel. Every one of our roomy,
one-story bungalows has a private patio, phone and coffee
service. Many have hammocks too. |
 |
 |
Unpack, put on your swimsuit and dive into the pool. Grab a
seat at the swim-up bar under the giant palapa. Order your
free welcome Margarita, some of our famous Nachos and
prepare to make plenty of new friends. |
|
Our
fishing fleet is the most experienced on the East Cape, and includes
boats, from 23-foot Super Pangas to 29-foot and 32-foot Cruisers.
All are fully equipped with safety and fishing equipment and are
manned by professional crews—experienced in both conventional
and fly-fishing. |

 |
While Hotel Buena Vista supports the catch and release
program, there is also a complete service to clean, freeze,
and package your catch for the trip home. As a special taste
treat, Hotel Buena Vista's celebrated chef, Oscar Padilla
will prepare your catch of the day to your specifications,
for your party's dining pleasure that same evening.
You
will find the food here superb and plentiful. Our American Plan
offers something for everyone—including both Mexican and American
specialties. Our theme nights add make dinner an extra-special event.
Nowhere else on the East Cape will you have the opportunity to see
and participate in authentic Mexican ballet folklórico. |
